Luigi Marino, aka “Chuck”
Grandpa Chuck was a humble man who was always willing to lend a hand. Ryan remembers his Grandpa working around the house, tools in hand saying: “Some need to know how all the parts come together, others just want it to work.” He loved learning how everything fit together and how to make things better.
Like his favourite donut, the Old Fashioned Plain, Grandpa Chuck was a genuine, authentic man who never cared for glitz and glamour.
Ryan Oakley, aka “Oaks”
Ryan’s values and work ethic took root from Grandpa Chuck. One lesson that has shaped Ryan: One size doesn’t fit all. This applies to life, clothing and especially golf clubs.
This belief, combined with the desire to learn how all the parts of a golf club come together, made starting Chuck & Oaks a natural fit. “Thanks Grandpa Chuck for all the talks about life, and introducing me to my favourite donut, Old Fashioned Plain. You are greatly missed.”

Chuck & Oaks is a family affair and to us family has many branches. Yes, Ryan’s golf expertise combined with the business experience from Jasmina and Gil Garbus (owners of FarAway Greens Indoor Golf) makes total sense.

Ryan Oakley
Did you hear, Ryan has a passion for golf? He plays it, works in it, watches it, dreams it. Ok maybe not the last one, but you get the idea. His love for the game is what drives him to help others play their best. Outside of golf, Ryan is rooting for his team, the Alabama Crimson Tide! Rooooll Tide!
Jasmina Garbus
Jasmina believes that when creativity strikes you need to write it down even if it’s on a wall or window! From financial services to fairways, launching and operating businesses is Jasmina’s passion. Outside of her business and family life, her partying sadly landed her on the Kardashians.
Gil Garbus Jr.
There isn’t a dad joke that Gil won’t laugh at or try to share with his little son. His past life as a Chief Compliance Officer taught him the importance of rules. Helpful traits in both fatherhood and golf. And if you’re ever in the mood for an impromptu karaoke party, Gil has a playlist at the ready.
