Pitter Patter – Get Fit For a Putter

  • Equipment

The Putter. The golf club that gets used the most in your bag, usually gets the least amount of love.

That’s right, this club is used 35-40% in each round! (Example: average golfer takes 90-100 strokes in a game, with 2 putts per green). And if there are ever strokes to be made up for, it’s usually in the short game. So why don’t more golfers get fit for their putter? Golfers do love talking about their drives, their strength, their distance. The putter is the complete opposite… yet it’s the club that can make or break your entire game. So getting fit for a putter should be at the top of any golfer’s To Do list.

So where do you begin? You can quickly get overwhelmed by all the choices available out there. Here’s where getting professionally fit can quiet the noise and hone in on you and your skills. In your personal putter fitting here are just some of items we will measure for you:

Arc of Your Putting Stroke – helps determine the proper weighting of the putter head.

Putter Length – so you can start your putts on the right line.

Putter Loft – get a consistent roll of the golf ball with better speed of your putts.

There are even more items to consider but we won’t bore you. In the end, if you golf, a professional putter fitting can certainly elevate your game regardless of your skill level. Just think in the same amount of time it takes to watch a Seinfeld rerun, you could be on your way to a better golf experience. So pitter patter – get fit for a putter, and feel the difference the right putter can make.
